Yes, this man brings a VERY positive message to the people on the street. It's called "the gospel"-the Good News...but if people don't know the bad news (that we are all sinful and headed to hell without Christ) the good news is nothing but "foolishness" to the world.
One thing that obviously doesn't come out in the photo is that Mr. Kang is a very friendly, conversational gentleman who gives hours of his time each week to reach the LOST.
His message will certainly cause people to be curious as the Bible states clearly that the "Holy Spirit will convinct the world of guilt in regard to sin and righteousness and judgement." (John 16:8)
This man is willing to be considered as "a nutjob" (as are all of us who are evangelical Christians) if it means the salvation of even a handful of people.
Compassion for fellow humans is something that should come automatically to those changed by Christ. I agree (for the mostpart) with what I believe you are trying to say, but social work is not to be the central focus of the church. You can feed a man for many years on "bread" but if you don't get him the "bread of heaven" (Jesus-John 6:41) all of your social work would have been done in vain.
"Faith comes through hearing and hearing through the word of Christ." (Romans 10:17)
Blessings!
