Pics from the Past

This is a real hoot! This is my black belt card I got 5 years ago while teaching in Taegu. The "Gwang jung Nim" (gym master) told me to go get a photo ASAP and so I did and turned all the paper work in. It was only weeks later when I got my card that I realized that the photographer used a "Disneyland tower-like background!" A black belt card should look a little tough (one would think) and instead I get this pansy-like card done up. I guess God was humbling me, ha!ha!
I don't think I've ever shared this photo with family but this was at my black belt test in Taegu. These little guys from my gym were also getting tested but I never actually trained with them. I attended every morning at 6am and every night at 11pm and got tested for my black belt after 4 1/2 months. (At our gym, kids trained on Saturdays)






These here last 2 photos are of me and my English buddy, Alan, out in the streets of Seoul after one of the Korean wins during World Cup here in 2002. It was a wild party and it was awesome to be here for it!
