(Last Friday) Sunlin Hospital: Class 4 of 10
Today's warmup ? - What does God require of you?" (Same question I used in my classes last week...) After several answers and discussion, we looked at John 6:28-29:
Then they asked Him, "What must we do to do the works God requires?"
Jesus answered, "The work of God is this:
to believe in the one He has sent."
Today we mostly focused on listening. I had the students watch the 1st segment of an interview Larry King did with Rick Warren last November. I used this listening exercise in my "Grammar Practice class" and at that time I thought, "This would be good for my medical missionary students!" Here is the worksheet that they completed while/after watching the video segment 2 times: (answers to follow...)

Was talking with OkSoon after class about Larry King (who has interviewed more than 40,000 people from all walks of life from around the globe!) and how he was asked if he could interview any one person during the whole course of history and ask one question, who would it be and what would he say? He answered that he would interview Jesus Christ and he would ask Him, "Were you really born of a virgin?" because as Larry King said, "that would make all the difference in the world!" Interesting indeed!!!! (God grant him the eyes to see and the ears to hear!!!)
English Writing Lab
The English Writing Lab is open to all students. The purpose is to give suggestions and guidance about a specific problem in a student's English composition. Students should bring to the lab a piece of writing in which they have identified a problem area. Once a paper is submitted, a conference time will be scheduled between the student and writing assistant.
I enjoy the writing lab as it allows me to interact with students from different courses taught by different professors, gives me experience in observing common errors in writing and helps me (try to) understand the Korean mindset more I believe.
