A traditional "yat" seller in Insa-dong. (Probably 2nd most touristy site in Seoul after Itaewon) "Yat"...how do you describe it?! It's hard, sticks to your teeth and reminds me of toffee. Would you like some? Yat-magura!

So-Yeun acting silly on Korean Language Day in Itaewon, Seoul!

Selfish?! Who? me? There are some interesting shirt messages out there. One of the strangest I've seen recently was "Andy Warhol is a Virgin" in Pohang last Wednesday. Unfortunately, the girl didn't want her photo taken...

Butchering names with the Korean language...

Well, neither my office computer nor my laptop read Korean characters so I thought I'd try this at the "PC bang" while in Seoul for church.
This is my name in Korean.
앤디브라운
I use "앤디" (Andy) in Korea because "앤드루" (Andrew) has three syllables in the Korean language and just sounds horrible when pronounced in that "Korean style", ha!ha!
They butcher my last name, "브라운"(Brown), in the same way, stretching it out from 1 syllable into 3!!! Well, I guess I shouldn't complain-That's nothing compared to how they butcher my good friend, Eugene Sphindler's name, ha!ha!
I don't know where they get it from (apart from nationalistic brain washing) but Koreans are constantly saying "Korean is the most scientific language in the world! Whatever!"
한국어 미치겠다!!!
