I really enjoyed church service at Handong International Church today. If that wasn't enough, I had 2 of my favorite Handong students over for prayer, choco-pies and coffee before busing back to camp! Hannah and Daler are on their last week of EHDS (English Handong Discipleship School) and are planning on going on outreach next week. Please pray that God would provide for their every need and would enable them and empower them for His service. This is a photo of them throwing me some love (notice the loveheart!) through the back window of the 3:10pm Handong shuttle bus. May God bless these 2 abundantly!

Last photo with Gamma class on Saturday before officially ending the camp week at 3pm. We had lunch at Pizza Hut and then played 2 strings of bowling. It's been an exciting but tiring week.

These ladies insisted on getting a last photo together before heading off on Saturday. Farewell to the 3 week camp students!!! 5 classes of uni students were on a 3 week camp while the majority of us have one week left of the 4 week camp. Take care Kappa, Omega, Lamda, Zata and Sigma class students!

Camp students went for their ESPT test last Thursday which was kind of nice as it give us a bit of a break. I have never heard of the ESPT test (English Speaking Proficiency Test) before this and I think it's pretty new. www.espt.org

Camp Field Trip to WooBang TowerLand in Daegu

Thank God for a WONDERFULLY EXCITING day at WooBang TowerLand!!!

The famous "photo bench" just at the entrance of WooBang TowerLand.

Which way to the bus? Oh, thanks, guys!

I think it's safe to say that we had a "monster of a time" at WooBang Land!

Ok, guys, quit "clowning around"...We gotta get to the bus!

I think it was his "clown like nature" that attracted these women to Ji-Ho like flies! Next time, he may have to carry a stick with him to keep the clown ladies away from him, ha!ha!

Jae-Yun, my "Hap-sung-dong-brother"!

The men of Gamma who braved the long walk up to view Daegu from the tower. We were NOT disappointed. They have great plagues on top which explain the location of key sites and historical points of interest.

I like this view as you can see the people like ants below and the sliding section (with artificial snow of course). As a side note, apart from the capital, Seoul, Korea has 6 metropolitan cities including Busan, TAEGU, Incheon, Gwangu, Daejeon and Ulsan. In total, there are 77 cities (si) and 88 countries (gun).

At 202 meters, Daegu Tower at Woobang Towerland commands a nice view of the city. Mr. Palgongsan towers over the city.

Min-Soo getting a closer look at Daegu (which is the textiles hub of Korea)

Interesting in seeing more of Daegu? Check out www.daegu.go.kr or if you're in the area, feel free to call the Daegu Tourist Information Center at 053-627-8900

Yet another view of Daegu from the tower

One view of Taegu from the tower. It was the first time for most of the Gamma guys who went up the tower with me. Some of them were reluctant to go as they were a bit tired but all expressed the beauty of the view later in their journals.

The WooBangTowerLand Elevator woman at your service! Quite a few of the guys who went up the tower in Gamma class wrote about this "beautiful" girl in their journals later that night...

"The Boys" on the 1st floor of WooBang Tower. Hey, Chang-Wook, what's up with your "glowing" shoes?! Are you an alien in disguise?! ha!ha!

Ji-Heok looking larger than life!

An interesting view of WooBangTower through the trees as we walked up the long path.

1,2,3...kimchee!

Not the best ride to be on just after lunch...

A lot of the students LOVED the Viking ride just behind this elementary group.

2 gentlemen from Delta class chilling as they wait for their classmates to use their last few ride passes.

Some of the boys of Beta with WooBangTower in the background.

The WooBang Tower Land marching band!

The Gamma class guys said they weren't scared at all in the Ghost House but some of us thought it mighty peculiar that Ji-Ho needed to go to the toilet IMMEDIATELY after we exited...ha!ha! Some joked that he must have had an extra pair of underwear in his bookbag.

I asked the guys to put on their best "frightened look" just in front of this mural and BOY did some of them ever ham it up! Keep your eye out for these guys-with this acting, you may just see some of them on the big screen someday! ha!ha!

Hyun-Soo majors in mechanical engineering but he failed to mention that he also has a minor in monster killing!

I think it's time to cut your fingernails, Ji-Ho!

Simon Hoole and his elementary school gang waiting in line at The Ghost House.

The scariest things about "The Ghost House" were the paintings on the outside! Just look at the sheer look of horror on Jae-Won's face!

WooBang Tower Land entertainers IN DA HOUSE!!!

One of my favorite students, Joong-Kan (from Alpha class), waiting in line at the bumper cars.

Nasra taking a short snack break while baby-sitting her wild bunch of elementary students.

Another Gamma class sharp shooter (and winner of a Mexican Donald), Chang-Wook.

Chang Yong are you aiming that thing at the ajuma's head?!

What's an amusement park or carnival without a "strong man strength test"?! Better luck next time, Ji-Ho....

The Doctrine of God - Grace of God

"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:" (Ephesians 2:8)

The grace of God is the expression of His goodness toward the undeserving. Grace means unmerited favor, and can be expressed by the acrostic "God's Riches At Christ's Expense." This grace is the basis of our salvation (1:7,2:8).
Illustration: In salvation, men who deserve hell obtain heaven. This cannot be explained apart from God's grace. Every conversation in Scripture is an example of God's grace. When Paul (Saul) met the Lord on the Damascus Road, Paul was a persecutor of the church. Yet God made him one of the church's chief preachers.
Application: We need to remember that we are saved, given the Holy Spirit, and allowed to serve God-by His grace.
