"If we are out of our mind, it is for the sake of God; if we are in our right mind, it is for you. For Christ's love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died. And He died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for Him who died for them and was raised again. (2 Corinthians 5:13-25)

Great wisdom from a Sunday school child. This was from one of the bulletin boards of SIBC (Seoul International Baptist Church). "And He said: "I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven."" (Matthew 18:3)

SIBC nametags. "Greet the friends (Christian brethren) by name". (3 John 14)

Two Pictures of Grace

Humanists express skepticism about the concept of original sin. They ask, why do we have to start off bad? Why not original potentiality? Do humans not have the potential to be good or bad? Do we not make choices?
1. Point System Illustration: If we give God 100 points and a serial killer 5 points, how many points might we give Mother Theresa? Me?
Everyone falls short of God's perfect score of 100 points. Christian grace says that whatever your score, Jesus has pai the price to make up the difference.
A serial killer has an equal chance. Grace has nothing to do with achievement.
2. Religion is spelled "D-O". Religions require that a sinner earn God's grace. The sinner may never know if he's done enough and the rules frequently change.
Christianity is spelled "D-O-N-E". God sent Jesus to pay the difference. Our only requirement is belief.

North Korea - Physical and Spiritual Darkness

This satellite picks up the amount of lights used in different nations. Notice the difference between North and South Korea.

The World is Sleeping. How about the church?

"But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you. For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman; and they shall not escape. But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. Ye are all the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness. Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober. For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night. But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breasplate of faith and love; and for a helmet, the hope of salvation. For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with Him. Wherefore, encourage each other and build up one another, even as also ye are doing." (1 Thessalonians 5:1-11)

Not so tall, DARK, and not so handsome....

Single men of HGU (Mark, Tim, Andy and James-order of the bottom photo, that is) on another "monk run" to emart, Saturday July 22nd. Both pics were taken with my timer and both came out pretty dark. Tim wanted to make sure we got a "last monk run pic" before I headed off to Ethiopia.

The Doctrine of Christ - Resurrection of Christ

"He is not here: for He is risen, as He said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay." (Matthew 28:6)
The resurrection of Christ included five accomplishments:
1) The physical renewing of His life;
2) The reunion of His body and His spirit;
3) The subjugation of death under Him;
4) The attainment of His new position; and
5) His receiving of a transfigured body.
Application: Because of the Resurrection, the Christian receives both eternal life (John 11:25) and spiritual power (Ephesians 1:19-20). Christ's resurrection also provides for the future resurrection of the beleiver (1 Corinthians. 15:20) and is the key to victory in the Christian life because of our union with Christ (Ephesians 2:6). Handong Students Mission Trip to Mongolia

"Greetings to you in the name of Jesus Christ. "Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the father and of the son and of the Holy Sprit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." (Matthew 28:19,20) - I am so excited to tell you the great news that I want to share it with all of you. Group of people from HDS (Handong Discipleship Training) are going on the outreach to Mongolia on 30th of July until 12th of August (2weeks). We are going to be involved in the children ministry to the Mongolian church ministry. We are going to help the missionaries in the Mongolia with their mission works. Cut to the subject I would really appreciate if anyone of you who read this mail could pray for me and my co-workers who are going on the outreach. So the art of the work will be done to praise the greatest name of the all the time, Jesus Christ. Here are the some of prayer requests which this could be great help for us during outreach;
1. All that we do and all that we plan everything will be synchronized according to will of God. So we will carry out his will, not ours.
2. The true living worship will be carried out in us and through us thus who ever see us will see the greatness of God.
3. We pray that we as group can be united under name of Jesus Christ so we could carry out the mission works in harmony.
4. Healthy mind and body for the each and every member of the outreach team members.
5. All the funds will be fulfilled in the name of Christ so we could carry out his works for us. (\15000000, 11members) Thank you for reading this mail. I really hope that all of you who receive this letter will have the compassionate blessings from our highest God. Yours sincerely, Trent (Beong-Min) Min (HGU, U.I.L & Psychology)
